The right of pupils to ride on the school bus is conditional on their behavior and
observance of the rules pertaining to proper conduct on the bus. Drivers shall enforce
these rules. Failure to comply with the rules may result in a student being suspended
from the bus. Parents will be notified by the Transportation Supervisor or the school
principal of their child’s misconduct and asked to help correct their child’s behavior
while he or she is on the bus.
At least twice during the school year each pupil who is transported in a school vehicle
shall be instructed in appropriate behavior and participate in an emergency evacuation
drill as part of the District Safety Education Program. While conducting an emergency
evacuation drill, the bus driver will assist the pupils at the emergency exit.
