The Maine Legislature requires all schools in Maine to test their drinking water for the presence of lead by May 31, 2022. MSAD 75 has completed testing at all of its facilities, and are still waiting on some results. If testing shows that a drinking water source has an elevated lead level above 4.0 parts per billion, that outlet will remain shut off with a “DO NOT DRINK” sign until the problem is resolved.
